Basically, to win you have to win 7 points and have a clear lead of at least two points. So for example, if you are leading 6-5 and you win the next point, you win the tie breaker 7-5. However, if you lose the next point, the score is 6-6 and then to win, you need to win the next two points, to make it 8-6, a lead of two clear points. And so on. scores have been known to go up to 24-22 etc. Also if you want to know, the serving is like this - the person who started serving in the set serves first. S/He serves once, then the opponent serves twice, then they alternate two serves each. If you win a point on your opponents service, this is called a mini break, and after every 6 points, you have to switch sides of the court

∙ 14y agoA 10 point tiebreaker is played in place of the third and deciding set of a match in certain conditions. (too cold, too hot, rain delay, etc)
The rules are the same as in a regular 7 point tiebreaker played at 6-6 in a set.
The opponent that is next to serve serves one point on the deuce (right) side. The serve then goes to the other player. After that first point, each player will serve twice: first on the ad (left) side and then on the deuce side.
Once six points have been played, players switch sides of the court and play the next point. Every six points the players switch sides again.
Once one player wins ten points, he or she has won the tiebreaker. The player must win by a two point difference, so the score could become 13-11 for example.
