From 1979 (when seeds were first used) through 2013, the NCAA men's Basketball tournament Final Fours that have had at least one #1 seed is 91.4%. Only three times has the Final Four notincluded at least one #1 seed: 1980, 2006 and 2011. The titles in those years were won by a #2 seed, #3 seed and #3 seed respectively.
For the record, there has been only one year when all four #1 seeds made it to the Final Four. This was in 2008.
