No definatley not! I am one day away from being 13 and i have done gymnastics for about 3 years. I'm not very advanced so I take a class for girls older then 9 who are beginners and there a lot of kids that age. In fact, most of them are. Gymnastics is a great sport for any age and since you're a beginner there's lots of stuff to learn. Gymnastics will help you in strength, flexibility, and grace, all of which are very important. Don't be afraid because of your age. Your goal should just be to get better and better and just be the best you can be. Try a beginning class at a nearby gym with kids your age in it, most gyms have one. Remember, you might not be very good at first but don't let that discourage you, it is worth it because it is so fun! Good luck, I know you will love it!

I'm a 12 year old level 8 gymnast and i went to a meet and saw a 40 year old woman competing! ha:) but anyways i dont think there are any free gymnastics groups you can join, but i may be wrong. hope this helped!<3
