You do not get extra points for blocking an extra point attempt. Points in football can only be scored by action in the end zone.
First, the above answer is incorrect, as points scored by kicking the ball through the uprights do not involve "action in the end zone."
Second, in College Football you ARE awarded two points if the defense blocks an extra point and returns it all the way across the opposing goal line in one play. But in high school or the NFL, blocked PATs are immediately ruled dead.
One extra point is awarded.
3 points for a field goal and 1 point for an extra point.
touchdown = 6 points extra point is 1 point but comes after a touchdown
The team that scores a TD always kicks off to start play regardless of whether their extra point try was successful or not.
Extra terminal points
No. if you return it you get 2 points
You can't. A safety is two (2) points but you do not get an extra point after that.
Touchdown - 6 points Extra Point (Point after touchdown) - 1 point Two Point Conversion (after touchdown) - 2 points Field Goal - 3 point Safety - 2 points
9 safeties 6 safeties & 2 field goals 3 safeties & 4 field goals 6 field goals 6 safeties & 1 touchdown without extra point 3 safeties, 2 field goals & 1 touchdown without extra point 4 field goals & 1 touchdown without extra point 4 safeties, 1 field goal & 1 touchdown with extra point 1 safety, 3 field goals & 1 touchdown with extra point 3 safeties & 2 touchdowns without extra points 2 field goals and 2 touchdowns without extra points 1 safety, 1 field goal, 1 touchdown without extra point & 1 touchdown with extra point 2 safeties & 2 touchdowns with extra points 3 touchdowns without extra points
0 points... because it was blocked...
The defense gets credited with six points because they scored the touchdown and they didn't kick the extra point.
A football cannot be intercepted on an extra point. As the extra point is kicked, not thrown. As far as two point conversions are concerned, if an interception is caught, it can be returned for two points, not a touchdown.
