∙ 13y agoNot in the NFL. Once the offense loses control of the ball -- with an incomplete pass, interception, or tackle -- the play is dead. In college and Canadian football, however, the defense can return the ball and score a 2-point defensive conversion.

∙ 12y agoYes. It must, however, be run back to the opposite endzone for 2 points.
Note that this only applies in College Football. In the NFL, when the defense touches the ball on a PAT attempt, the ball is dead.

∙ 12y agoIn college football, if there is a turnover on a PAT and the defense returns the football to the opposite end zone, they receive 2 points for a defensive conversion.
In the NFL, the ball is dead when a defending player touches it on an extra point attempt.
There is an extremely rare scenario in the college game where the defense can score 1 point. The offense's attempt must be turned over, the defense then runs most (but not all) the length of the field, the defense then fumbles, the offense recovers it (not yet in their own end zone), the offense then voluntarily runs into their own end zone trying to evade a tackle, and the defense then tackles the offense's player in their own end zone. This is called a conversion safety, and counts 1 point for the defense. It makes a score such as 6-1 a possible score in college football. This is so rare that it has never actually occurred.

∙ 13y agoYes, they could. There are two ways an NFL defense can score touchdowns. One way is to intercept a pass and run it back into the endzone. The other way is by recovering an opposing teams fumble and running it into the endzone.

∙ 14y agoNo. If the defense obtain the ball without ending the play on any conversion aattempt and reach goal, they are awarded two points (similar to a safety).

∙ 14y agoYes. In the NFL the play is over if you intercept it. In college football, you can return it the other way for two points.

∙ 13y agoIn the NFL, no. In other levels of football, yes, and it is worth 2 points.
No.In the NFL, if a pass is intercepted on a two-point conversion, the play is dead.In college football, if a pass is intercepted on a two-point conversion, the intercepting team is given the opportunity to gain as much yardage as they can. Should they run the ball all the way into the end zone, they are awarded two points.
If a team attempts a two point conversion after scoring a touchdown and the ball is fumbled and recovered by the defense or if a pass is intercepted by the defense who then run the ball back to the other end zone the defense team will be credited with the two points. This is called a defensive conversion. Note that this rule only applies in college football. In the NFL, the defense can't score on a point-after attempt.

In NFL ball is dead. In NCAA live ball: On a one-point try attempt, Team A's kick is blocked. The ball is advanced by runner B1 across Team A's goal line. RULING: Award Team B two points (Rule 8-3-1).
there are 6 points for a conversion. if you make a field goal it is one point and a two point conversion is two. a safety is two points for the defense and then they get it back from a kickoff. (don't use a tee after a safety.)
