the shot counts and he gets one shot at the free throw line for a chance at a 3 point play. its called an "and 1"
And 1 is a brand, but in basketball games it occurs when a player shoots, gets fouled, and the ball goes in the hoop. Because he is fouled he is awarded 1 foul shot. When he makes this foul shot it is called an and 1 because he added another point to the score board after the foul.
That depends. If he was intentionally fouled but the player was going for the ball, than no. If the player was not going for the ball, than yes.
you get fouled and the ball goes to the other team
In basketball, an intentional foul is deliberately committed by a defensive player with a purpose to stop the play. The penalty or penalties of an intentional foul are foul shots from the fouled player in exchange for ball possession.
When a basketball player runs with the ball with out dribbling, they are traveling which is against the rules.
taveling is more than three steps, free throws are one point, and if you don't have the ball you can'y be fouled.
When you get fouled within the 3 point line you shoot 2 shots behind the free throw line. If you get fouled on a 3 pointer you get 3.
In a game of basketball, you shoot a free throw if you get fouled. Therefor you shoot the ball on your own. But anyone can get fouled and shoot a free throw! Hope this helps(:
