The batter is credited with a double, so his batting average will increase. The out would be scored as any other out is scored. It depends on what happened on the play. If, for example, the batter hit the ball down the right field line, and the ball is fielded by the right fielder. He throws to the second baseman, who then throws to the third baseman for the out at third, the scoring would be 9-4-5.

Since "Appeals" are extensions of the play. All runs scored would count, and the batter would be credited with a single, since that was the last base he reached safely and the inning would be over (as this would be the 3rd out), now if he missed 1st base, then no runs would count as he never reached base safely, This would be the case even if he hit a homerun.

The out will be credited to the fielder that tagged the base on the appeal. Example: runner misses 3rd base, defensive team appeals by throwing to 3rd base, 3rd baseman tags 3rd base, umpire calls the runner out, 3rd baseman is credited with the out.

Depends on how many outs there when the home run is hit.

MLB Rule 7.12 is pretty clear: "Unless two are out, the status of a following runner is not affected by a preceding runners failure to touch or retouch a base. If, upon appeal, the preceding runner is the third out, no runners following him shall score."

Thus, if there are fewer than two outs, then this out caused by the base runner would eliminate HIS run, but not that of subsequent runners. If there are two outs, then this base runner's out would not only eliminate his own run, but also those the of the base runners that follow him. However, the runner who touched home plate BEFORE this out is called -- the one who was on third base when the home run was hit -- would be recorded as having scored a run.

If the score was tied (let's say 1-1) with two outs in the bottom of the 9th when the home run was hit, and the player on second ran to the dugout to celebrate after seeing a home run was hit to win the game, that player would be called out, but the final result would still be a win for his team, at a score of 2-1 instead of 5-1. The batter would get credit for a single and one RBI.

If the defense throws it to first and the umpire makes the call, the runner is out, but if the ump does not make the call an appeal must be made to determine the situation of the runner.

If the player misses first base, it would simply be ruled a putout. If the ball was to center, and thrown directly to the first baseman, the score would be an 8-3 putout.

Yes because the runner who go called out for missing second would still be credited with a single

Bases loaded runner from third misses home is he out on appeal?

Anytime a runner misses a base and an appeal is made he would be called out if the umpire saw it. Suppose only 1 runner crossed the plate, if the ball was thrown home and the catcher stepped on the plate the umpire would call him out (even if the runner is halfway back to the dugout), if multiple runners cross the plate, then and a ball is thrown home in play, the umpire will only make the "safe/out" call of the last runner to cross, or the play at the plate. In this case you would need to go through an official appeal process (ball to the pitcher on the mound, steps off the mound, throws home, catcher steps on the plate) --- The umpire will know what you are doing and if he saw it the same way, will call the runner that "missed home" out ---- If this would have been the 3rd out, his run and any runners that crossed home after him will not count

If a runner leaves 1st before the pitch - who gets the put out?

I assume that you are refering to Little League Baseball. Remember, you technically have to appeal the out by having the ball and touching the base. The stats should reflect these events because the runner is not out until the appeal.

Can you appeal A fourth out if a runner has scored?

One out runners on 1st and 3rd fly ball hit to right field Ball is caught thrown to 1st base to double off the runner Runner on third scores Does the run count and how do you appeal the runner left e?

Answer to first part: Run does not count. Explanation: For the runner on third coming home, the run does not count. No run counts on a play where the third out is a force out. There was one out when the play began; batter hits fly ball which is caught for the second out; ball is thrown to first base and the runner there is called out for the third out; this is considered a force out, therefore, the run does not count. Answer to second part: Runner on first is called out. Explanation: Only the defense can appeal that the runner left early. The offense (team at bat) cannot appeal that the runner did NOT leave early. Note: The act of the right fielder throwing to first base is considered the appeal. If the runner is called out, there is no further action possible or necessary. If the runner is called safe, the defense (team in the field) can appeal by the usual process (where the pitcher with the ball addresses the rubber, then steps off the rubber and throws to first), but the same call will be made; why would the umpire change his mind?

Is runner out if he misses touching home plate and catcher drops ball and runner swats it away?

Yes, runner cannot intentionally dislodge ball from fielders glove.

How do you make an appeal play in baseball?

If you're talking about an appeal of a runner missing a base, or leaving a base before a fly ball is caught, the proper procedure is as follows: After play has completed, the pitcher, with the ball, steps on the pitching rubber and comes set. He then steps off the rubber legally and throws the ball to a defensive player near the base they are appealing was missed. This player then steps on the base. If the appeal is granted, the umpire will impose remedies as appropriate. If the appeal is denied, the umpire will so indicate. Note: an appeal is made while the ball is live. This means that any other runner may advance at their own risk.

Can a player appeal any base?

A defensive player can appeal to the umpire that a runner missed touching any base.

Does the batter get a hit when the baseball he hits then hits the runner moving from 1st base to 2nd?
