well you will be tired theres really no way of telling but you will be out of breath if your not super fit You can measure your stride, by running a distance you know, basically by timing how long it takes you to run that distance at your average pace, and dividing a mile measured in the same unit by the distance you ran and multiplying that number by the time it took for you to run it. That can get complicated though. An easier rule of thumb is to run an average city block in a city that was laid out under modern planning. If you are running in the country in a township that was laid out after the mid-1800's, the distance between most roads is one mile. Another way is to drive a vehicle on the route you intend to run and meassure 5/10's of a mile. This is halfway. Run that distance and then run back on the same route.
