Federal law requires one to be 21 years old to purchase handguns from an FFL (licensed dealer) and 18 for the purchase of long guns. Federal law and most states allow 18 to 21 year olds to purchase handguns from individuals (but not dealers). A few states require all gun sales to be through licensed dealers.
In Texas parents can decide what age their child should be to own a gun as per Texas Penal Code.
There is no gun licence in Maryland. You must be 18 to buy Title 1 long barreled weapons (your 'average' shotgun or rifle) and 21 to buy handguns and Title II NFA items (rifles with barrels under 16 inches, shotguns with barrels under 18 inches, transferrable full auto weapons, suppressors, AOWs, etc), if you can get approval for the NFA items (in Maryland, it's doubtful).
It depends on where you are. In the U.S. a person of any age can possess a handgun under limited circumstances. A person under the age of 18 can possess a handgun for sporting purposes or target shooting (or self defense).
Well, not exactly. If you were to, oh...I don't know...take them to hunting lessons for instance, they would teach them how to handle a gun, bow and arrow, ect, ect, ect. I suppose if you were hunting with them, if you both were licensed in the art of hunting, it would be okay. As long as they are only hunting animals, it would be fine. Hope this helps!

It isn't legal in the U.S. for a child to own a gun, but it is legal for a child to possess a gun under certain circumstances such as hunting, shooting at the shooting range, etc.
yes
I'm pretty sure its called a cattle gun.
It depends if the 17 year old is emancipated and living on their own. They have proven themselves to be an adult and responsible for their own actions. If he is still at home with his parents you should take it to court.
Whith a Gatling gun in fact!
It is your gun. A 17 year old can not legally own any firearm.
In New Zealand you have to be 18 to own a gun licence.

i have a old gun and i need to find out how old it is and if it was used in a war long ago. i need to know who used to own the gun.
A 12 year old can't "own" a gun, since you have to be 18 to buy a rifle and 21 to buy a handgun.
Your question calls for an opinion. My opinion is that people SHOULD be allowed to own a gun.
In the U.S. you must be 21 to legally own a machine gun or any other class III item.

Most places you have to be 18 to own a long rifle and 21 to own a pistol,
