I am 63, 200 lbs, and my max bench press is about 250, though I did 275 a couple of years ago. Just getting older, I guess. I usually do sets up to ~ 235, beginning with a warm up at 135; then 185, 205 215, 225 and a max at 235, using free weights. I then do 3 sets of inclines and 3 sets of flies, both on a pulley system.
