$300.000
The price of raw amethyst will depend on the size of the stone, the intensity of the purple color, and the clarity. A three carat piece of raw amethyst can sell for as little as $15 or as much as $50.
It is wort about $4000000 that's alot of money! :)
There is no such thing as black amethyst.
It is worth as much as a person thinks it is worth ....right now. Give it years and the money be rollin'
For one that fits in the palm of your hand is about 30 to 60 $ andthe deeper the purple the more its worth.the much bigger ones are about 1000 -10,000 depending on the size an the deep purple.
A very small piece of amethyst is probably worthless.
A "purple geode" could be a couple of different things; either an amethyst geode, or a manmade specimen of chromium potassium alum. The former is valued by the overall size, as well as the color and size of the amethyst crystals; they're sold by the kilo and prices are variable. The latter can be had for under $20, or you could grow one yourself for the price of the chemical.
It is a variety of quartz- silicon oxide SiO2 with manganese
Depends on the particular purplish crystal. Amethyst is not too expensive but other purplish crystals expensive. So it depends.
Amethyst isn't the rarest or most valuable stone, but it's worth more than most gems. I'm guessing $1,000 for 1/6 pound of it!
Green color amethysts have been found in the Zimbabwe and Arizona and are said to get the color due to the heat of the sun. These are mainly purple color gems that change color due to the excessive heat and the gem is found in a combination of green and purple color. They are not very valuable.
