One would have to know the amounts paid to every player who ever played in the NHL since it was founded in 1917/18. I suppose the NHL records ( accounting office???) might have this available in their archives or something. Otherwise this is an impossible question to answer!!!

Should softball players get paid as much as baseball players?

No, not until the two sports have a similar economic status. Major League Baseball players are paid a lot of money because the business behind the sport is very successful and brings in a lot of money. Softball does not create enough income for a team to pay the same amounts that an MLB team can pay their best players. It depends on how many people come to the games.

Are major league players making the major league minimum paid year round?

The simplest answer is No. The correct answer is that Major League players get paid during the regular on the 1st and 15th of ever month, with the earnings spread out over the 162 game season. If a player is on a team that makes it to the playoffs, the receive additional money based on how far they go, not on number of games played. After the World Series money is divided up and paid out, players receive nothing again until spring training. No MLB player is paid by MLB year round.
