to bloody much about 40k per year. That is more than a highly skilled health proffesional, solicitor, teacher, etc etc etc

How the hell can these people command up to 250 pound per day. Absolute scandal and the people who pay this want their heads looking at !

peter

ha ha im a tiler. We are paid by the square meter not per day. Im 29 with a bad back and shooting pains in my arms! we earn our money! Most ive made is 75k in 2007-2008

Peter, Last time I checked the professionals you mention didn't have to buy the equipment they use, give credit to their employers, have their own insurance, advertise their services, keep up to date accounts, build up a client list.. Oh and self employed tilers don't get holiday pay, don't get pensions, can't pull a sicky or pass the blame. 40k a year is not nearly enough when dealing with people like you and if you think tiling isn't a highly skilled job then it is you that needs you head looking at Sir.

In answer to the original question, there is not a set amount a tiler can earn, it all depends on how hard he or she is willing to work, the type of tiling they do and the area in which they live. anywhere from 20k to 50k

Well said Rob............., just to add Peter, if you are a commercial tiler like me then its 100k upwards. We have to finance our Range rovers somehow.....:)
