F1 Drivers aren't paid per race but annually, they get part of the pay at the mid-summer break and/or get the rest at the end of the year.
To commemorate each race, it becomes another trophy to sit on a shelf. I am sure he has them showcased really nicely and will someday sell them to a museum. Sure he could do it to make money or give away to friends and family or charity. Someday we will know/
Depending on what f1 season, he can earn from $30 mill to $60 mill as he is a very good F1 driver and debatable one of the all time greats.
