Canada issued 2 $100 Olympic Commemorative coins that year. One is a 1/4 ounce 14k gold coin but it is an UNC coin - not a PROOF. The other coin (the one this person has asked about here) is a PROOF condition 1/2 oz. coin which is worth approximately $550-$575 as of Feb 27, 2010.
You must be careful when purchasing these coins. The coin itself does not specify the gold content or whether it is a PROOF or UNC coin. Both coins are very shiny and could be mistaken as PROOF coins. The only clear visible difference in the coins are their respective colors. The 14k 1/4 ounce coin is much lighter in color than the darker 22k 1/2 ounce coin. The other difference is the diameter of the coin. The 22k 1/2 coin is 25mm in diameter and is actually smaller than the cheaper UNC coin (27mm).
Of course the 1/2 oz. coin is heavier as well. Be careful buying these coins and be sure you know what you are buying. There are people out there tryng to pass off the 1/4 oz. coin as the 1/2 oz. coin.
it would be worth about $195 maybe more but it also depends on what the condition of the coin is

It's worth one Canadian dollar.
If the cent was found in circulation, it is only worth face value. If it is a "proof" that was purchased from the Canadian Mint, it is worth about 1.50 retail.
The Canadian Dollar is worth the most.
That depends. If you mean 1 Canadian dollar, then it's worth 1 dollar Canadian. If you mean 1 American dollar, it's worth 99 cents Canadian.

un-circulated ones can be worth up to $1000 Actually about $100 if it is a proof or specimen coin as these are 50 percent silver the non-proof version is 99.9 percent nickel making it less valuable. They are a nice coin and hard to come by but who ever put $1000 is a bit off
