well, in some cases it can be. some of these costs include: competition fees, busing, uniforms (the skirt, the top, the undershirt, the underwear [they go over your underpants], socks, sneakers, and hair scrunchies), gym time, and even clothes for practicing. Cheerleading can also be very time consuming, some teams having it seven days a week, competitions and games. competitions can be very stressful, also. For example, most times you have to be there at around 8 am. it also takes a while for registration, mat time, and the actual performance, and then the awards. most of the time, there is about an hour in between registration and the beginning of the competition, mat time and the actual performance, plus watching the other teams and divisions, waiting for scores, and the awards ceremony. but in the end, it is very rewarding and worth the effort.
