This question cannot be answered, the reason is salaries are private and between the Team owners and the're crew members, there are variables to concider also, how much money does the team have to spend for wages, some teams have alot more then others, you could average the wages of a team who has 30 million a year to spend and a team who only has 5 million a year to spend, that's not to say the first team mechanic is getting rich while the second is only getting peanuts, there are to many factors to concider, each team has a budget for employees, each team pay's the're people differently according to the're own standards, if they have alot of money they can afford the best mechanics, other things to concider are: reputation, record as far as failures, how much time your willing to spend, (kind-of-like...what come first in your life, the car or other things). EXAMPLE: Drivers, (average wage)take Jeff Gordon (lets say he made 30 million last year) and Dave Blaney (lets say he made 1 million last year), to average the're wages Dave made more then he seen or can spend without going into dept. This is why you can't get an honest average of a mechanic in nascar. Your best bet is to go the team mechanic at headquarters or sometimes in the pits and ask.

It varies from Team to Team, but a good ballpark figure is around $60,000 to

$80,000 a year, some will make more, some much less, the determining factor generally depends on the caliber and wealth of the team.

Part-time trainees may be paid as little as minimum wage and their income depends on how many hours they work. Exact figures for full-time mechanics are not available. However, sources in this field report that salaries range from about $25,000 to $85,000 a year. Experienced mechanics working for well-established associations can make up to $100,000 a year

Each NASCAR team pays their mechanics a different salary. Some teams are larger and can afford more. It is estimated that the larger tams pay upwards to 60,000 a month for mechanics.
