Varies season by season, manufacture by manufacture. In the season just gone (2017) A engine unit can cost around $8 million. so top teams can afford top engines but lower teams only has a certain budget for engines.

∙ 10y agoNowadays days, f1 teams spend $millions for 8 engines for a season, F1 engines do vary within temas but on average it is around $190,000 per engine and they don't last long under high performance.

Nowadays the F1 engines are 2.4L V8.
Impossible to answer with out knowing what cars and what engines.
Formula One engines do not have turbo chargers, and other ways. The only speed boost they have is KERS.
No it is a move backwards for F1

The timing belt runs from the crankshaft to the cam, which controls the valvetrain. The belt must be replaced at regular intervals,(As outlined in your owner's manual), before it breaks. Some engines are called Interferance Engines. If a belt breaks on one of these engines, serious damage to the valves & or pistons will occur. The cost varies with the vehicle.
