How many years do you have to be in collage to be a pro athlete?

It depends on the sport you are referring to. The NFL is the only one I know that requires two years out of high-school, although I don't think it even has the stipulation that the athlete has to be in college during that time. The NBA has no college requirement as Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Kevin Garnett are clear examples of. I'm unsure about any college regulations for the MLB, NHL, or MLS. However I'm pretty sure if someone is a good enough athlete they will either be recognized in high-school and move up through the minor league ranks which all of these sports have. If it is a non-team based sport such as boxing, golfing, or marathon sports there are no requirements of college. While I'm sure college could be beneficial for any athlete it is not required.

Can football players without college education play in the NFL?

You can enter the NFL Draft with three years of college education. Many football players will redshirt as a freshman which is the NCAA legal way of giving a student five eligible years of football at college. You may see people enter the draft as a sophomore, however the redshirted so it is actually their 3rd year in college.
