∙ 14y agoAt the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, Phelps set world records in 200 meter freestyle, 200 meter butterfly, 200 meter individual medley, and 400 meter individual medley. He was part of the relay team that set world records in 4x100 meter medley relay, 4x200 meter freestyle relay, and 4x100 meter freestyle relay. Seven of his eight gold medals were won in world record time.
He won the other gold medal, in the 100 meter butterfly, in an Olympic record time.
