Swansea and Neath Ospreys, Newport Dragons, Cardiff Blues and Llanelli Scarlets. Plus the feeder clubs associated with each region added to this are the range of age related teams, gender, School, College, Corprate and ameture "pub" teams

There are four regional Rugby teams in Wales. The Cardiff Blues represent Cardif, the Vale of Glamorgan and Powys, the Newport Gwent Dragons represent the Newport and Gwent regions, the Ospreys (formerly the Neath Swansea Ospreys) represent the Neath-Port Talbot and Swansea area and the Scarlets (formerly the Llanelli Scarlets) represent west and north Wales.

In addition, the Celtic Warriors existed for the first season of regional rugby and represented the Bridgend/Pontypridd area. This region was disbanded at the end of the 2003-04 season, with the area represented split between the Blues and the Ospreys.

In future, the WRU hope to establish a fifth region in north Wales called Gogledd Cymru (literally North Wales). This is likely to start as a development team similar to Connacht in Ireland.
