Really there can be as many as you want. But if you are a younger person such as 12 and older or a bit younger you may want to see what your parents are okay with. If a lot of girls i would say about 12 or 14. Use numbers divisible by 2. That way there is an even amount of girls and it is easy to do other cheerleading things without anyone getting left out.
