Kentucky has 8 NCAA Tournament Championships 1948, 1949, 1951, 1958, 1978, 1996, 1998, and 2012.

Kentucky has also been named the Helms National Champion in 1933 & 1954.

*The 1954 Team went undefeated 25-0 but Aldolph Rupp declined to play in the

NCAA Tournament because a couple of players had technically graduated during

the season. (This despite repeated wishes of the players to let them play.)

*The 1933 Helms National Championship was before the NCAA Tournament Era

and is reconized as that years National Champion.
