An Olympic pool is 50 metres long so half a mile = 16.1 laps approx.
it depends on if its an oficial size track. if its an official olympic sized track it will be 100 laps. 4 laps equals 1 mile so 4 times 25 would be 100 laps
Someone said: "72 laps. In a regulation sized pool (25m) of course." But I think it's 72 laps in a 25 yard pool, and 66 laps in a 25 meter pool.
In a standard Olympic sized pool, 32 laps around would equal a mile. Or, swimming 16 lengths, or going back and forth from one end of the pool to the other.
if the track is 1/10th of a mile, you would have to make ten laps to equal one mile. you would have make 5 laps to make half a mile. So 10 laps plus 5 laps equals 15 laps.
In a normal sized track, 4 laps equals 1 mile. So 4 miles would equal 16 laps.
Olympic pools are 50m, so 10 laps.
1609.344 meters equals 1 mile 1609.344/442 equals 3.641 laps Or just under 3 and 2/3rds laps.
4 laps of 400m (about 4 laps of 1/4 mile)
