Competitive swimming pools widely vary in width. The width (in feet) changes depending on how many lanes it has. Most competitive pools have either six, eight, or ten lanes. An official Olympic sized swimming pool is 50 meters by 25 meters. It is ten lanes wide.
well it depends on the level of the meet. higher level meets can have up to 10 lanes and 50m long. but a standard competitive pool has 6 lanes and is 25m long.
25 yards long and depending on how many lanes you want 15-20 yards.
Typically 10 lanes.
8 or 6
In a normal Olympic Pool there are 10 lanes. I'm not too sure what a semi Olympic pool is!
it is 6' long and there are 12 lanes. LOL
An olympic size swimming pool has 10 lanes however only the middle 8 lanes are used for competition, with the outside two lanes being used to prevent the swimmers' waves bouncing off the walls
The definition of an Olympic size swimming pool is 10 lanes each 2.5 meters wide, however to prevent the outside lanes being disadvantaged by having to compete with the waves bouncing off the sides of the pool only the middle 8 lanes are ever used.
An Olympic swimming pool usually has 8 lanes, but sometimes has up to 16.
10- 8 for swimming and two outside lanes to keep the backsplash down
10 but they only use the inside 8
to keep the swimmers in there own lanes
Swimming lanes are about 2.5m, or 8ft wide
There are many different kinds. The most common is 6 lanes. There are also a lot of 8 lane pools.
An Olympic swimming pool is about 55 yards long and 27 yards wide. There are 10 lanes in an official pool.
Most pools have six or eight lanes. The pools in the Olympics have eight, but smaller ones often have six.
It depends in the standard of the simming race, for Olympic or World Championships then the pool has to have 10 lanes however only the middle 8 are used. For lesser competitions it depends on how many lanes the pool has, usually a minimum of 6 however for smaller and older pools which are very rarely used there may be 4 or 5 lanes
For lap pool swimming, the width of the lanes is narrower than the Olympics. For lap pools, it is 6.5 to 7 feet wide for each lane.
There are to many to count since a pool just has to be 50 meters in length and 2.5 m wide lanes
