By "out of play" I presume you mean in the dugout or into the stands, in which case, the batter gets 2nd base If the ball stays in play, the batter could get as far as they can advance.

Little League Rule 7.05 g 'states two bases when, with no spectators on the playing field, a thrown ball goes into the stands, or into a bench, etc.'

The two bases are awarded from the runner's position at the time of the throw. If the runner is running towards first base and the ball is thrown into the stands, he is awarded 2 bases (1st and 2nd)

If the runner has safely reached 1st base and the shortstop throws to first because the runner rounded too far and the ball goes into the stands, it is still 2 bases, but in this case it is 2nd and 3rd as the runner already occupied first at the time of the throw.

Is it an unearned run when the catcher throws to first to throw the batter out on a dropped third strike?

yes

If the third strike is not caught in the air by the catcher what happens?

if that happens then the batter tries to make it to first base before the catcher throwes it to the first baseman and if he beat es the ball he is safe

Why does the catcher throw to third baseman after a strikeout when there are no base runners. Origin and any name or term?

The 'routine' is called around the horn and is a derivation of an old baseball drill that has been done for many, many years. The drill starts with all four infielders and the catcher in their 'normal' position with the catcher holding the ball. The catcher throws to third base as if a player was attempting to steal. The third baseman catches the ball and throws a ground ball to the second baseman who throws to the shortstop who is covering second base as if there was a force play. The shortstop throws to first base as if finishing a double play. The first baseman throws to the catcher and the process begins again. The drill is meant to be done quickly and crisply and designed to practice accurate throwing and hustle.

If the pitcher throws ball four and the catcher throws to 2nd before the runner reaches is he out?

No, it is simply ball four and the runner is safe and the batter is awarded first base on a base on balls.

If the catcher throws the ball to first base after the batter is walked can he be tagged out?

Depends, If the hitter rounds first base into fair territory and the first baseman tags him yes. But if the catchers throws the ball to first and the hitter jogs down to first he can not be declared out when tagged unless he rounds first into fair territory

What is the mlb season record for pick off throws by a catcher to first base?

Also what is the best career percentage, relating successful pickoff throws (leading to an out of any kind, such as via rundown) to the number of attempted throws. How does Yadier Molina compare?

When match beginsthe umpire calls?

All balls in. Going Down. All the practice balls are thrown in then the pitcher throws the first pitch without the batter. The catcher catches it and throws it to second. (to be more specific)

Why do you have to run on a past ball strike out in baseball?

Because if you make it to first base before the catcher throws you out you are allowed to stay on the base and the game continues.

What is one and cover in the game of baseball?

One and cover is a practice activity where an infielder fields a ground ball, throws to first base which is considered base one in the base numbering system. The first baseman then throws to home plate where the catcher throws to the corresponding base of the fielder who just fielded the ball, who is covering his designated base.

When bases are loaded ball is hit on ground to first baseman who tags runner out then throws home all runners go back to previous bases are runners all safe?

Yes. If the first baseman tags out the batter on his way to first, the three existing runners can return to their original bases; none can be "forced out."

If there are no outs and bases are loaded on a drop third strike. What should the catcher do?

Throw the ball back to the pitcher. A batter can not advance on a dropped third if first base is occupied.

If there’s two outs runner at third and the batter swings at strike three but the catcher misses the ball and goes to the back stop the runner at third comes to home but the catcher gets the out at first is the runner at third save or out?

When does it matter? A dropped third strike only matters when first base is unoccupied OR there are two outs. If there is a runner on first base and less than two outs, then a dropped third strike doesn't matter and the batter is out. What can the batter Do? Once a batter either looks at strike three or swings and misses at strike three and the ball is either not caught or dropped by the catcher, the batter becomes a runner and can attempt to make it to first base before either being tagged by the catcher or thrown out at first base. What if the pitch bounces? 99.99% of the time it is not a legal catch and the catcher (even if he fields the bounced pitch cleanly) must tag out the runner or throw him out at first base. Rule 6.05 specifies that a batter is out when a third strike is legally caught by the catcher and goes on to state that this must occur before the ball hits the ground. 0.01% of the time (and no these are not official calculations) the bounced pitch that is fielded by the catcher would be considered a legal catch. This can happen if the hitter swings and fouls off the pitch into the catcher's glove after the pitch has bounced. It is considered a legal catch at that point and the batter is out. What if the runner at first is stealing? If there are less than two outs, it doesn't matter. Even on an attempted steal, first base is considered occupied and the batter is out. What happens when there are two outs? When there are two outs the same rule applies with the addition that first base can be occupied. In this situation a force play can be created on other bases in addition to either tagging out the batter or throwing him out at first. Example: Bases loaded, two outs. Catcher drops the third strike. A force play has now been created at all bases as all runners must try to advance. Catcher can simply step on home plate for the force at home and third out. He doesn't have to make the out on the batter. What if a runner crosses the plate before the batter is thrown out at first or tagged? The run does not count. Example: Runner on third, two outs. Catcher drops the third strike, while he is picking it up and throwing to first, the runner from third crosses home plate. As long as the catcher throws out the runner at first, the run doesn't count. The force play at first is the same as if a ground ball was hit to another infielder. The run doesn't count.
