The only MLB games played in November have been World Series games, and this has only happened in three World Series: 2001, 2009, and 2010.
Game 4 of the 2001 Series began on October 31 but ended after midnight with a Derek Jeter home run. All other games of that series -- which combined for four more home runs -- were played in November. Incredibly, Arizona scored 15 runs in Game 6 but did not get one single homer or triple.
Games 4, 5, and 6 of the 2009 Series were played in November, and featured a total of seven homers -- three by Chase Utley. His "record" of three home runs hit in November will probably remain for awhile.
Game 5 of the 2010 Series was played on November 1, but no player hit a home run.
