It allowed the ploughing up of the tough soil of the prairies and allowed the expansion of American agriculture beyond the Alleganies. Nothing contributed more to American expansion westward.
For both American football and standard football (soccer) the standard amount of players allowed for each team on the field is 11. When players are limited in American football you will see 8 man football.
11 for each team.
Because I am an ignorant American who knows no law other then American law and some Canadian law, I will act as if you are in America. Yes, you are allowed to assault if you are attacked. In some cases, you are allowed to kill the person.
Newfoundlanders are allowed to join the Canadian Forces.
In Canadian football, teams are allowed a maximum of 12 players on the field. The positions of the players are the same as in American football, with the exeption of an additional player in the backfield. There is also unlimited motion in the backfield behind the line of scrimmage prior to the snap of the ball. All backfielders are eligible receivers, and it is not unusual to see all receivers (other than the ends) in forward motion prior to the snap on a passing play.
The rules are essentially the same. It's the make-up of the game that is different. The Canadian Football field and end zone is larger 110 yd by 65 yd and the end zone is 20 yd by 65 yd. (In comparison the American football field is just 100 yd by 53 1/3 yd and the end zone is just 10 yd deep.) Canadian Football has 12 players (instead of 11) and they are allowed just three downs to make a first down. In Canadian Football: -The defensive line must be at least one yard from the line of scrimmage. -The goal posts are on the goal line rather than the end line. -Any player in the offensive backfield can be in motion in any direction before the snap of the ball. -Their is no fair catch rule on punts, however the kicking team must be at least 5 yards away from the catcher at the time the ball is caught or receive a "no yards" penalty.
It's "holding", not "holing". A player is not permitted to grab onto a player who does not have the football, nor is he allowed to hold him down if he's on the ground.
When the expansion of voting rights occurred, many more groups were brought into the political area. This allowed for a better and more free exchange of ideas and thought.
In proper english, yes. If you're really a Canadian citizen then you'd have a Canadian passport. The only reason you wouldn't be allowed to leave Canada is to go to certain 3rd world or war-torn countries. The American government can't stop you from leaving Canada if you're a Canadian citizen.
Yes it is allowed. If you obtain Canadian citizenship, you are allowed to maintain your American citizenship as well. But you should always carry both their passports when traveling between the two.
Yes, I imagine women are allowed to play American football and whether or not they are capable depends on the individual's physical ability and muscular strength. There is an official Independent Women's Football League (IWFL), Women's Football Alliance (WFA) and a Women's Spring Football League (WSFL). These leagues all play according to the laws of American football as normally played in the NFL (National Football League).
