Well it depends. I ran a mile in 12 minutes and 20 seconds. And I don't think that I'm considered fat. It's just that running nonstop makes me tired, so I had to walk in the middle. But I can play soccer for 90 minutes and not get very tired! For some people it's the opposite.
In my PE class, the average time for mile run was about 8.5 minutes. Which, personally, I think is quite weird. My friend finished a minute and 20 seconds after me, and there's a guy who finished a few minutes after her. But most students in my class finished before me. And the average of our whole class (not only girls) is something around 8.5 minutes.
It depends on how long you've been running. If it's your first year running competitively, 6:00 - 6:25 would be a decent goal by the end of the season. If you've been running for 2+ years, you should know where to be.
I'm 13 and i run a 5:17.
im also 13 years old im a female and i run cross country for almost 9 months my speed for a mile is 6:00 or 5:10 most times just keep up practice all the time when season went off i quit working season just started back wed. and my speed is 8:00 now never get lazy lol !
i think a reasonable time for a mile is about six minutes and thirty seconds. i highly recommend running at least 3-4 times a week to keep in shape. it'll help you get to your goal. (if you haven't already gotten there) i hope you find this advice helpful!
i am a 12 year old boy and i run 2 miles in 12 minutes. i run every morning and it has really improved my stamina. i would really recommend staying with the running.
I'm not a physical education expert, but when I was in Civil Air Patrol, we had to do something called a Physical Fitness Test to pass to the next rank. I just looked at the minimum requirements chart and, for a mile run (keep in mind this is a military-esque programme), the minimum requirement for a twelve-year-old is ten minutes and fifty-two seconds for a male and twelve minutes and forty-six seconds for a female, both being cadets going for their Wright Brothers Award or lower. Those are the first couple of ranks. So based on such, I'd have to say you are doing pretty well off. Your results do depend on your fitness level, whether you're on the track team or not, medical problems, etc.
Yes. You probably won't be the fastest in your class but that's still pretty decent.
Yes that is very fast for a mile and a half. That time would have won 3 out of the 4 races I competed in at the middle school level.
about 45 to 60 minutes on a track
an ten year old boy would run 6-8 minutes to run in a mile
The top running speed for a 12 year old boy is about 1 mile in 8 minutes. Anything at around 8 minutes and 40 seconds per mile is considered great.
An 8 minute mile is very good for a 7 year old. My son ran around an 8 minute mile in 5th grade when he was 11 years old and he was second in the school. So an 8 minute mile is good for a seven year old.
If you mean a mile as in running then i would say around 5 to 6 minutes.
...............................Nooooo! NOOOO WAY DUDE 700 minutes 1 MILE???? MY 3 YEAR OLD SISTER GOOD DO BETTER THEN THAT!!!!!!
about: 6-7: 20 minutes 8-9: 16 minutes 10-12: 10 minutes 13-14: 8 minutes 15 and up: between 5-7 minutes if you are a runner
It depends how fast your 1 mile time is, if you're running 6 minute miles i would say, anything under 9 minutes
Running has become a part of many people's regular exercise routine, including children. A good mile time for a 1st grade student should be at about ten minutes. A 12 year old boy can complete a 1 mile run in eight minutes.
yes this is a very good time. my mile time is five minutes and forty seconds. im 14 and im in the top of my school for running. that's very good.
I assume you mean 5 minutes 31 seconds. I would say that was a very good time
Very good. The top 15 year old men in the U.S. can run a mile in about 4 minutes and 30 seconds. This time is achieved after months of training.
I think that an average time for a ten-year-old girl to run a mile is about 7 minutes to 10 minutes. 7 for fast runners, 10 for, not slow, but people walking or jogging. Don't be ashamed if you got more than a 10 minute, or if you got less than a 7 minute, wow, your good! But it also matters about your training level, weight and height.
