On the ice, a hockey puck is pushing against much less surface friction, so it will slide with relative ease. On the street, a puck is forced to push against the pavement which it cannot do very well causing it to either stop or bounce across the surface.

What are the forces on a hockey puck as it slides away on ice?

Friction in the opposite direction to the direction of motion. Weight directly downwards. Reaction force directly upwards.

How do balanced forces acting on an object affect its motion. How do unbalanced forces acting on an object affect its motion?

Balanced forces do not change its motion (no acceleration). Unbalanced forces changes the motion of the object (acceleration).

How do unbalanced forces acting on an object its motion?

Balanced forces do not change its motion (no acceleration). Unbalanced forces changes the motion of the object (acceleration).

What Forces that result in no changes in an objects motion?

Forces that result in no change in an object's motion balanced forces.

What are forces that result in no change in an objects motion?

Forces that result in no change in an object's motion balanced forces.

What is a charge in motion called?

These forces that cause a change in motion are called Unbalanced Forces, therefore forces that never cause a change in motion and stay the same are called Balanced Forces.

How do balance forces acting on an object affect its motion?

When the forces acting on an object are balanced, they cancel each other out and the result is no change in its motion.Balanced forces have no effect on motion. Unbalanced forces cause acceleration.

What effect do balanced forces have on the motion of objects?

Balanced forces do not alter the motion of objects.

What are forces that do not cancel out or change an objects motion?

Balanced forces do not change an object's motion.

What are three forces that affect the motion of an object are?

Forces can be divided into pushes, pulls and twists. I'm not sure if that is the type of answer you were looking for though. A range of different forces can affect the motion of objects depending on the circumstances e.g. thrust, lift, air resistance, water resistance etc

Is a body in motion stays in motion?

That depends. If no forces act on the object, it will. If forces do act on the objects, such forces may change the object's velocity.

Do all forces always cause motion?

-- First of all, motion doesn't require any force.-- If the forces on an object are unbalanced, then the object's motion changes. Always.-- If the forces on an object are balanced, then the object's motion doesn't change.
