I don't know where to begin.......How is sports related to disease? Let's start with the simple fact that sports help your body to become and stay healthy. Sports can help your body to become and stay disease free. Sports can help prevent common diseases such as: Heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, and even cancer. Test results conducted at the University of Southern California have shown that people who stay physically active throughout their life are 25-30 percent less likely to have health problems such as: heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, and cancer. So as my overall experience as a doctor I support an active lifestyle, and truly believe that sports can help prevent diseases. Dr. Nathan M.
