The service box in Racquetball begins 15 ft away from the front wall and ends 20 ft from the front wall (the exact middle of the court). The service must land beyond this 20 ft line but before the back wall (40 ft).

The short line on a racquetball court is the second solid line from the front wall crossing from one side of the court to the other side. The first solid line is the service line and the server must stand between the service line and the short line to serve. The ball must hit the front wall and then hit the floor between the short line and the back wall to be a legal serve.
