Many volleyball players wear knee pads to prevent scraping their knees on the court due to friction. Also, anytime you hit the ball, friction is present. There is also air-friction, which is the air resistance against the ball.

Friction in volleyball can happen many ways you see. First is when a player has to run for the ball after a team mate has hit it but doesnt go over the net. Also friction can happen when a player dives, when a player dives, you offten get friction on your legs if you do not wear socks [which i recommend you wear socks...trust me] or on your arms if you dive straight on and you dive pretty far.
