Yes, I think so, because you're always trying to live up to your friends expectations, or beat your enemies, or something. This will nearly always make you more nervous and you'll probably lose in the end :-)

Yes partially. For instance, if you were to live in a poor area of say, Mexico or Brazil (these are just randomly chosen countries) you may have to travel a very long way to get to a sport centre. However, some determined athletes do sometimes often travel for over 150km just to get to a sport centre.

Another factor that may affect it is your financial position.
