the more air that is in the ball is how far it will travel, for example a flat ball will not travel as far as a pumped ball. why? because the bounciness of the ball would not be used when it is not pumped

however this is not really so as if a ball is pumped up to the point that it is hard it will not travel as far as it would if you released some of the air out of it. every ball that needs air to work has an optimal psi if a ball is pumped to that psi it will travel by far the best than below or above.

When a soccer ball has less air pressure its heavy and can't move easily through the air. When the air pressure is evenly distributed throughout the ball its lighter and can move more easily.
MUch more air pressure usually distabilizes the foot ball. the place where pressure is low generally the ball moves towards that side.
A ball that is flat is heavier because the ball is in a shrunken state. When the ball is pumped, the ball is stretched, making it lighter because the rubber is evenly distributed on all sides, thereby, making the ball much easier to bounce immediately. When the ball is deflated, there is very little movement on the ball's part. The rubber is much heavier, and not worth playing with.

A soccer ball that is hard has less 'room' in it for the gas to compress so it springs back with vigor.

A softer or mushy ball will tend to just go oomph, compress much more and spring back softly.

Assuming you kick 2 balls exactly the same way, since the harder ball bounces right back to shape, it will go further.

It's like dropping a ping pong ball and a marshmallow. The ping pong ball will bounce much higher.

if you put a lot of air in a ball . good. the ball will bounce more. if its soccer it will kick further and bounce more
