Universally, each "match" is divided into "sets", which is divided into "games", which is divided into "points".

In a 2/3 Match, teams play Sets until one team has won 2 Sets.
Sets are won by first to 6 games, while leading by 2 games, otherwise leading to a tiebreaker to determine the winner of the set.
In the case of a game count of 6-6 in a Set, players must play a Set tiebreaker. Set tiebreakers differ for each level of play, but in high school tennis, tiebreakers are usually played as first to 7 points, leading by 2 points. In a tiebreaker, service is alternated differently.
Games are played by points. The first point a player makes grants the player a score of 15, then the next point would grant a total of 30, but the next point would be a total of 40. A score of 0 is pronounced as "love". For example, 40-0 would be pronounced as "fourty love".
In the case of a game count of 40-40, or "deuce", players play a tiebreaker point depending on either ad scoring or no-ad scoring. In no-ad, players only play 1 point for the entire game. Ad scoring plays where one player must lead by 2 points to win the entire game.
Serving and positions are a whole different deal.
