, I have recently removed the engine out of my 89 rm 125. Despite its age I'm guessing the steps are pretty similar to newer bikes.

This is what i did:

Disconected all water hoses to the engine

unhooked the intake boot from the carb as well as the clutch cable, and electrical

Took out the two main bolts out of the bottom of the engine

this was the difficult part:

The bolt that connects the engine and swing arm is one stubborn SOB. I ended up turning a solid steel pounding rod into a mushroom pounding on that bolt trying to get it out.

Sometimes depending on the position of the bike there is too much tension between the swing arm and bolt for it to come out without stripping the threads and bearings, but it eventually came out.
