First you find the plug and you pull it out carefully with a pair of pliers. Once you have the plug out you can inflate the ball to the pressure you like best. Do not inflate the ball over the suggested 9 PSI. Try a 7.5, then 8, then 8.5 and so on while in between bouncing the ball to see if you like how it performs. This will help you to know when to stop inflating the ball any further once you have it to your liking. You can put the plug back in the ball after you have it inflated to where you like.
