Although it is far easier and cheaper to buy one already made, all you need is some 30mm black mesh net, some rope and the dimensions of the net. Cut the net into sections of the right size (with a decent allowance for slack adn the part that will be used to attach the sections together) and pass the rope between alternate holes in the mesh at the matching edge of each section, then tie securely at the ends.
Because field hockey ball is extremely small and it would be nearly impossible for a goalie to stop the ball if the net was bigger.
It depends on what you are planning to use it for. If you will use it for lowkey pond hockey, yes but a wood net can not be used in any competitive hockey.
When you score a goal and it goes inner the net! :P JK
Perhaps you should make your question less vague; but when i hear "Hockey" i think of field hockey.
A hockey net is 4ft tall by 6ft wide
ice hockey is a rink and field hockey is just a field
field hockey
Keep trying!!
Field hockey is a field sport, but both indoor and ice hockey are rink sports.
Well, by field hockey I think you mean hockey games that are done on the ground like field hockey, street hockey, ect. It is called ice hockey. *Field hockey and ice hockey are completely different rulebases. As the first answer pretty much describes, it is simply called "field hockey on ice", like it is called "field hockey on grass", "on turf", "on concrete", etc.

Field hockey is better, it is a very old sport that takes back a long way, Ice hockey was a re-make by the Canadians made for a suitable way for colder seasons.
