How do you know your skateboard wheels size?

There two main measurements - width and length. Depending on what kind of Skateboarding you are into, sizes varies. For street style it's usually 7''- 8''. Many have found that 7.75'' as the mainstream, however many 8'' are made today. Length is important as well, but it's not so common to be mentioned. As far as I know, only Baker and Reinbe decks publish their width and length measurements, so you might want to check them for length measurements. But usually it's around 32''

Other two measurements, are nose and tale length. That is important thing if you're skating. Tale is shorter then nose.

It all depends on your style. Also depends on if you ride street, Vert, or Freestyle. Street boards are usually short and narrow, easy to use in crowded spots and easy to maneuver quickly but lacks in strength. Vert decks, are usually longer and slightly wider for less flips but more grinding and rail tricks. Freestyle boards are very wide, very thick, and heavy for maximum abuse that freestylers do to there boards. If your just starting out, get a normal board for street. They are the most used, and can be used in any style.

It depends on what type of riding and what type of board you will be doing. On a downhill and all-around board you will probably want some 180 mm trucks, on smaller board you could want some 150 mm trucks, and some people who have huge boards and are into intense downhill on straight aways can even get 210 mm trucks. It all depends on the board, discipline, and personal preference.

Measure the body of the truck to get the info you need to determine if it will fit your deck. 5" skateboard trucks fit decks 7.5 to 8 inch decks. 5 1/4 inch for 8 to 8.5 inch decks.

you could measure. most skateboarding wheels are between 50mm to 58mm although other skateboards, such as longboards, have bigger wheels that are shaped differently.
