You have to be a collegiate football player first, once you're in your junior or senior year, you may declare you are going to the NFL draft, which will make you eligible for NFL teams to pick you during the draft. & if NFL scouts consider you one of the top prospects (best players in the draft), they'll invite you to go up on stage & be able to hold your new teams jersey up in front of the crowd.

The first round is on ESPN and nfl network but rounds 2-7 are only on NFL network
The NFL mock draft is when football analysts try to predict what teams will draft which players based on what that teams needs to improve with
The NFL has a 7 round draft. However recruiting does happen with players who are undrafted.
The Miami Dolphins selected Pat White in the second round of the NFL draft.
After the 7th round the whole draft is finished and all players will go on a private jet to the team's city and all the press conferences and then rookie mini camp and OTAs and sign deals and all that lot.
