How do you defer your Boston Marathon qualifying time for a year?

As of this year, you don't. If you weren't able to register on opening day you're out of luck for 2011. Qualifying times are good for a little over 18 months so if you qualified after September 30 of 2010 your time is likely to be good for 2012.
However, due to the 2010 registration filling on opening day, the race officials are considering making changes to qualifications for future events and the 2012 criteria have not been officially announced.
