you have to be 13 and go to an umpire camp.
Yes and No
12 unless your local league has their own age
Out if umpire catches it.
I dont know ask the person by you
normally they get $35 a game.. here in Massachusetts that is what we pay our umpires. Actually, the Little League rulebook states that all umpires must be non-paid volunteers. The correct answer should be that a little league umpire has a salary of zero dollars. This is true. As someone who has been an umpire in a Little League World Series I can verify (per the Little League rulebook and Operating Manual) That LL umpires are volunteers and should take no compensation. If you have ever taken any money to umpire a Little League game you will be banned from ever umpiring in a state tournament, regional tournament, and a Little League World Series should LL International find out. Many of us, however, are also umpires for several other umpire organizations for higher level ball that do pay umpires rather well.
If he can be fair and unbiased.
No, not in a High School, College, or a MLB game. In little league 1 umpire is often used.
There isn't such thing as a baseball referee! Its a umpire! Go try to find it if you want to be an umpire soooooooooooooooo bad! Look on the internet!
Go to a Professional Umpire School (there are 2) in January. Then go through the Minor League system for many years. After 10-15 years, you may be able to get a Major League job. Chances are very small for most Minor League umpires, though.
I have volunteered to umpire tomorrow's Little League game.
It is the umpire's sole decision, but he at least has the right to throw him out of the game. I don't know if he has the right to suspend a little league player, but I know he can definitely bench him, and if it gets out of hand he can have him removed from the property.
it depends if they have children who play in the league
According to the MLB website, an umpire starts in the minor leagues at $1,800 a month. At the Major league level, annual salaries range from $84,000 to $300,000.
Emmett Ashford. Ashford was an American League umpire between 1966-1970.
None. They umpire in both leagues.
Depends on the league. In my league i umpire 10 year old and i get about 20 a game and every Sunday game i get a raise so there are about 180 games so i make a decent amount for being a teenager.

The strike zone on a little league player starts and the midpoint of the chest right under the armpits to the knees, as a umpire in LL we try to give the pitchers the confidence of getting the ball across the plate with out tightening up on them, if it looks hitable better swing.
A little league umpire can make anywhere from $30 for 9-10 year olds, to $80 for 14-15 year olds, in New York. That's pretty much the range I've heard for NY, NJ, CT, and PA. In California I make around 15-25 dollars a game. In Texas I make $35 for 9-10 year old. The pay generally increases by $5 per age level. In Illinois I make $20 a game but I am also 14. Furthermore my pay goes up $5 a year. If you are a true Little league Umpire you take no compensation for your service. Little League is a volunteer supported organization including umpires. If you ever plan on doing any Little League sanctioned post season games. (Regional or World Series) and have taken monies for umpiring you will be excluded.
The interference should have been enforced when called.
