You can check the book "Streetwise Chicago" about Clark, Waveland, and Sheffield, but Addison is named after an English physician, Thomas Addison, who noted the disease of the adrenal glands now called Addison's disease. Interesting way streets of Chicago are named after people you don't connect with Chicago.

Even more curious is Irving Park Road, named after Washington Irving.
