In order to be a pro Baseball player you need to have insane skills with a bat and have good fielding.

You also have to be noticed by scouts and be in a known (popular) college. My uncle was in the pros for the Baltimore Orioles Cal Ripken Jr. All you have to do is believe in yourself and practice all the time. Cal said in baseball spring training is what makes a good baseball player.

According to MLB.com,

"Certain groups of players are ineligible for selection, generally because they are still in school. The basic categories of players eligible to be drafted are:

  • High school players, if they have graduated from high school and have not yet attended college or junior college;
  • College players, from four-year colleges who have either completed their junior or senior years or are at least 21 years old; and
  • Junior college players, regardless of how many years of school they have completed"

The league is not interested in your education, they need to follow certain rules if you are indeed in school. Otherwise you could be uneducated and play.

to ultimately become a MLB player , you must play such great baseball on your college team , that a scout is so happy with you that they sign you a contract to a minor league team. once on the team you have to play really well again so that eventually you are promoted to a major league team !!!
