It doesn't matter just choose which ones you like based on your style. If your a girl id go for the figher numbers. If your a competitive skater go for the 7.75's. If your just doing it for fun match the board size. In your case 8.
This depends on what the board is made for, what discipline you will be riding, and what you prefer. The smaller the truck the more responsive it will be and the more grip it will have. A wider truck will have less response and more lean, it will also grip less. A common truck that most people use is 180mm.
Voodoo 13: the #'s are different for all of the companies.. Here are a few. Venture 5.2, Independent 139mm, Thunder 147mm, Koston 139mm, Royal 5.25, Destructo 5.25, Krux 4.0.... Hope this helps..
they should be listed as either 4.75 inch trucks or 7.5 inch trucks

Wheels dont make a skateboard easier to turn on the skateboard trucks do that.
Thunders skateboard trucks feel like a planking balancing on a point thus making it better than the Independents skateboard trucks.
yes, a friend of mine's brother has 127mm trucks on an 8 inch skateboard and there fine
Yes. Well, typically. There are trucks that are vehicles: pickups, flatbeads, rollbacks, box trucks, panel trucks, semi-trucks, etc. There are trucks that are carts, such as factory carts. There are also trucks beneath your skateboard; the axel and bracket that hold the skateboard wheels is called a truck.
sure, if you like wide and low trucks
