Although local rinks can be smaller or larger, the standard size for North American rinks is 200 feet x 85 feet. In the rest of the world, rinks are usually built to IIHF guidelines. The length is the same at 200 feet (approx. 61 m) but the rinks are much wider at 30 metres ( almost 100 feet).
