∙ 13y agoYes, and there has been one Canadian athlete that has won medals in both the Summer and Winter Olympics. Clara Hughes won medals in speed skating at the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics and medals in cycling at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Another is Hayley Wickenheiser who has played on the women's hockey team in the Winter Olympics and the softball team in the Summer Olympics.

Clara won two bronze medals in cycling at the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta and a bronze in speed skating at the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City and a gold and silver in speed skating at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin.

Through the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, the Bahamas has competed in 14 Summer Olympics and 0 Winter Olympics. Bahamas has competed in every Summer Games since 1952 except for 1980.
The People's Republic of China first competed at the 1952 Summer Games in Helsinki. They sent one athlete, a swimmer that did not medal. They would not go to another Summer Olympics until the 1984 Games in Los Angeles.
