In Scotland this trait is much more common with Hibernian, St Johnstone, St Mirren, Raith Rovers amongst otherS not Hearts as their real name is Heart of MIDLOTHIAN or Glasgow Rangers or Glasgow Celtic.
On the continent its much less common, whilst there may be teams that are commonly known with the place in the name eg Grasshopper, their full name general includes a place eg Grasshopper FC of Zurich.
