I haven't heard of "Athens Bat Company" - but it is almost certainly a name used by Hanna Manufacturing. Variations of their name, including Hann Batrite, appeared on their bats. They made bats in Athens, GA from 1926 until the company went out of business in 1976.
Sure, could put Ronnie Spector to shame. have you ever heard the term Bat lashes? Also a Western comic book named after title character Bat Lash.
Bat-Dor Dance Company was created in 1969.

I've never heard of players burning their bats. but i have heard of them "boning" their bats. the process of boning the bat is rubbing a raw bone across the surface of the bat. they do that because it compresses the wood on the bat, and makes it denser and makes the ball come off the bat faster.
Call a pest control company to find the bat.
